The  celebrity life is becoming a part of African culture. Celebrities ranges from musician, footballers, TV personalities. Their new found roles in the African society include role models, idols, inspiration etc to mostly young Africans. With the rise of social media like Facebook, Twitter and a host of other social networks, many of this celebrities have huge followers or fans in Africa and around the world.

The purpose of this article is to show the financial clout many of this celebrities posses. The celebrities on this list include bloggers, footballers, actors and actresses etc, but majority of the celebrities on our list are foreign based footballers.
 In the course of our analysis, we in included bloggers in our publication because of their growing influence in Africa. We also included celebrities who have lived in Africa but are living overseas because of their profession but also retain great influence in Africa.  The list is mostly dominated by male celebrities.   4. YAYA Tours $70 MILLION :
    The four time African player of the year winner is the highest paid African player in the English Premier League with a salary of £250k a week. 
  5. ASAMOAH GYAN $55 MILLION:
    The Ghanaian captain who currently plays in the USA is the fifth on our list but is tied on the same amount with Linda ikeji who is on the sixth position. 
  6. LINDA IKEJI $55 MILLION:
    The millionaire blogger is by far the richest blogger in Africa. She was listed as one of the most influential women in Africa in 2013 by Forbes magazine. 
  7. P SQUARE $50 MILLION:
    The twin sensation are the richest musicians in Africa according to recent estimates. Source of income include endorsement, album sales, shows etc
  8. MIKEL OBI $45 MILLION:
    The chelsea FC midfielder is one of the highest paid African players in the Premier League. The midfielder collects a weekly wage of £120k a week. 
  9. DON JAZZY $38 MILLION:
    The Nigerian producer, singer, songwriter is the second richest musician in Africa. The producer who has worked with the likes of Jay Z, Beyonce etc has amassed a lot of Fortune in Africa. 
  10. EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR $38 MILLION:
    The former Arsenal striker is the last on our list but has the same networth with don jazzy. The former Togolese captain is among the highest paid player in Africa.
