RICHEST AFRICAN MUSICIAN

The list contains the networth of African artist both old and new. The list puts into account the amount each artist has accumulated in his or her career. The list is made up of both male and female artists and of course the list is dominated by male musician except for few notable female musician who has managed to break the glass ceiling in recent years in Africa's music industry.
     However, the list is also dominated by Anglophone countries and other notable exceptions from francophone countries. Based on country, many of the artists are from Nigeria, Ghana is represented by one artist, South Africa is represented by two artist, Senegal has one artist and so does Democratic Republic of Congo.
   
Statistical analysis for obtaining this data helped to highlight the problem facing African music artist compared to their  counterparts abroad. It shows that African artist are not properly compensated for their work because of the menace of piracy. For example, most of the money this artist made those not include album sales because that part of their has been hijacked by men of the underworld. 
  The list tends to appreciate the work of this artist but not necessarily a reflection of their true networth. The first on the list p square, the twin sensation who recently got back together after their bitter split has an estimated 30million dollars networth, it comes from their huge glo endorsement and sold out tours in Africa and around the world. 
 The second on the list is the mavin CEO, he has an estimated networth of 18 million dollars thanks to his growing fan base in Africa and is closely followed by ex label mate koko master who is third with a fortune of 17.8 million dollars.
